Get to Know Us
The Alcohol Intolerance and Cancer Awareness Program (AICAP) was created and founded by Dr. Che-Hong Chen, PhD, in 2024. The first AICAP chapter is registered at Stanford University, where Dr. Chen serves as the official advisor.
AICAP has 2 main missions: community outreach and student development.
Community Outreach: AICAP is designed to partner with student volunteers and community members by providing free educational material, genetic tests, and alcohol intolerance screenings to local populations.
Student Development: AICAP is a student-led organization that gives members the chance to participate in community outreach and develop basic clinical skills such as conducting an alcohol patch test and collecting genetic samples. Students will also have the opportunity to develop leadership skills by planning, organizing, and running AICAP events in local communities.
Our Mission
AICAP is dedicated to raising awareness of alcohol intolerance and cancer risks in Asians, empowering informed choices for a healthier, safer community.
Our Vision
We want to live in a world where people are equipped with knowledge about the dangers of alcohol intolerance and cancer risks, allowing them to make informed choices about drinking.
